woot keeps posting items that are higher than amazon’s internal links as well. YMMV with woot in general.

I’ve seen i9/ryzen 9 with a 5080 for like 1500 or less. This seems very overpriced. Guess its like apple and you pay $1000 bucks just for the brand name.

It doesn’t justify the markup for me, but there is something to be said about Dell’s quality control in comparison to a lot of the no-name PC builders that sell stuff on newegg and amazon. Dell isn’t going to hot glue an atx 24 pin connector to the atx 24 pin motherboard connector like I’ve seen some of those other brands do. If somebody doesn’t want to learn to build themselves, and they’re ok with paying a little more to get a machine that is relatively well assembled, I’m not going to give them a hard time for doing so. Buying the EEBJIOW Super Mega Ultra Gaming pc on amazon might not be a great investment.

Really? A 5080 FE alone costs $999.

We really shouldn’t be pairing ram with anything less than 6000MT/s with an ultra 9 and ideally you would use at least 6400MT/s!

Why only a 90-day warranty? Should be 1 year through Dell.

Is this a good deal?

Because it’s coming from Amazon inventory, we can’t guarantee the warranty so we add the Woot warranty instead.

If you build it yourself with these exact specs, it’s $2699.99. But there is a special version with 2TB SSD and a game for $2299.99. I haven’t owned a Dell in years, so I can’t speak to quality.

Ideally we shouldn’t be in a time of RAM shortages either, but here we are. This is the new reality when it comes to DDR5. :pouting_cat:

Is it worth it to jump for the Dell version provided above for an extra 1 TB? I haven’t bought a PC in years. How large are computer games nowadays, or are they stored in a cloud service? Any help is appreciated.
