Holy! The most expensive laptop, for a whopping $1099 is a complete piece of carp. The damning factor is that it has a DUAL CORE i7!! I didn’t even think they made such junk. The benchmark for it is below many i3s!! So beware looking to this i7 for anything near i7 performance!!
Lenovo ThinkPad E540 has bad reviews regarding the touchpad. I was going to buy it until I read the reviews in various places online. I have a new toshiba that I hate due to the touchpad…it makes life hell. Have to use a mouse…not worth it.
I don’t even use the touchpad, so it being listed as having issues doesn’t bother me in the least.
Touchpads always bothered me, So I’m happy to see the button-mouse in the middle of the keyboard. Lenovo still does that on most of their models, so it’s one of the many reasons I’m happy with them.
I just wished they’d offer these (Lenovo) units with a better gpu than intel. Intel graphics cards have gotten better over the years, but still don’t compare in most cases to nvidia and raedon due to the fact that those are dedicated cards and take the load off of the processor. le sigh.
Looking into both the e440 and the e540 to use for record-keeping for receipts… Fact that they are windows 7 is just icing on the cake!
