I am using a very similar 7480 right now and it has a good screen, nicely spaced keyboard and runs my non-gaming apps well.

The screen resolution is small, but the specs on the speed is decent. The memory can be upgraded (it’s probably two 4 GB sticks rather then one 8 GB; the Dell site said the maximum is 16 GB), but the screen is just not great. There are variants with a similar 1367 x 768 resolution (but touchscreen) and full 1920 x 1080 resolution (I recommend that one).
The size is big, the weight isn’t bad (3 lbs.) especially for a 2014 model
The real concern is the battery; it’ll probably need replacing in a few months (the Mothership has 3rd party ones around $30).
