Can we assume since there is no condition shown, it is NEW? (Although the neutered 90 day Woot warranty betrays that.)

The title is fixed at 32GB RAM, 1TB SSD , while the model selector changes those specs.
Latitudes are bullet proof business grade laptops, particularly when not abused.
This is the note on the available 9530 and 5430 models. Whether it applies elsewhere is unknown.
“These are new condition, factory sealed, laptops. They are not listed with a manufacturer warranty because we pulled them from Amazon inventory and could not verify the warranty information.”
This one is refurbished. The condition should be added soonish. The blurb you noted does not apply to this computer.
It is refurbished condition. I updated the title to make it clear you can choose the RAM and SSD from the drop down.
This note only applies to the listings it is under.
Thank you!
Thank you for the quick reply.
According to the Dell website, the Dell Latitude 5510 laptop also includes a flip-down RJ-45 port for wired network connections. The Ethernet port supports Gigabit Ethernet speeds (10/100/1000 Mbps).
I received mine today.
Looked in the BIOS and Computrace/Absolute has been enabled (once enabled, it can not be disabled by the end user and requires some admin voodoo to do it)
So either the seller/vendor did not properly decommissioned it during the refurb process or the laptop was obtained and sold illegally.
Can Woot do something? Either send a replacement or get the vendor to disable Computrace/Absolute by contacting the original owner/company.
I will contact Woot support as well. I just want to post this here so other buyers can read and check their laptops too.
To Check, go into the BIOS by repeatedly stabbing the F2 key when you see the Dell Logo on startup.
Once in the BIOS, go to Security->Absolute.
If the options are greyed out and Enable is “checked”, it means it was enabled and will require an admin to disable it through external means.
If the options are not greyed out and Disabled is checked, it is good and don’t touch it! Or select the “Permanently Disable” option to forever kill it.
As to what Computrace/Absolute does and why it is bad (for consumers), it’s best to just search engine it rather than have me tried to explain it.
