This looks to be a pretty decent deal. An important distinction is does this have Intel Active Management or Standard Management? Active can use remote desktop features but standard can’t. Intel charges more for active.
Edit: Why might be a good deal. This version of the processor says it has Intel UHD Graphics 630, so it should decode HEVC main10 natively, which would be very beneficial for JellyFin/Emby users of hardware decoding for everyone using Automated Ripping Machine to create their own full fat media collections to transcode to play on other devices.
Not a terrible deal. Depends on your use case. Should be a perfectly fine home/office PC with plenty of utility functionality (Plex server, etc). It is an 8th generation Intel chip with 6 cores and 6 threads (no hyper threading). Has base clock of 2.1 GHz with turbo boost to 3.5Ghz. SSD ensures a quick boot and fast response time from the OS like closing and opening applications. 16GB of DDR4 is more than plenty for this machine, and should be able to multitask quite well.
Many budget PC builders will use optiplex machines as a base to their build. This is a micro PC, so not really good for that purpose due to little room for upgrading or adding a GPU, but it’s not a terrible platform.
This sounds like it’s written by an AI that doesn’t understand a GPU won’t fit in a Small Form Factor (SFF) PC like this.
Thank you.
I definitely mentioned that this PC has no room to upgrade the GPU.
If you knew what any of that stuff meant about the CPU such as core and thread count and base clock speed and turbo boost it wouldn’t sound like a robot, but I’ll take that as a compliment as AI is pretty smart. But some folks just shop via buzzwords they see in internet listings ![]()
Also integrated graphics are the only way this PC could even output a display without a GPU…
If you want me to be completely honest, I’d never purchase this, but I have no interest in over priced “micro PCs”. Also for $300 you can find newer generation hardware with much better clock speeds around the internet. But if you aren’t familiar with computers and for whatever reason you need a tiny PC, this can probably serve you just fine.
Micro PCs run hot, and are just kind of silly to me.
I’ve seen a lot better deals , and ive seen a lot worse.
If you like small form factor but want room for a graphics card, look up ITX motherboards or mATX, or become familiar with the different motherboard form factors and cases. ITX boards with low profile GPUs or ryzer cables with a air cooled GPU, and cases are true SFF PCs, this is one of those tiny PC boxes that end up burning up if they aren’t ever turned off or strained too much.
Also a “micro PC” with an AMD APU would probably have better luck with graphics.
Exactly what an AI would say.

(honestly a childish post would be more entertaining)
Eh it was an OK Boomer style thing, low effort and poor taste. I can’t represent that.
I own two of these, and they work great in situations where you might not want a large tower, and don’t need the computing power to play GPU-intensive 3D games. I have one in my homes music room, connected to a TV, and use it to stream music lessons off YouTube and run a music teaching app for my kids. I have the other screwed to the bottom of a workbench in my garage, where it runs everything from my PC-based oscilloscope to diagnostic software for my cars. I’ve never had a problem with either one.
If you’re not a gamer and just need a useful, durable PC that won’t take a lot of space, these are a great solution.
