It does not have an A/C plug option. If you want that, then you should consider the DCE511B model instead. Looks like you can get the DCE511B from Amazon for as low as $111 at this time.

The DCE511B can also be battery powered, but it does not include the battery at the above-mentioned price point. This Woot offer also does not include the battery. If you do not have other tools using the DeWalt battery ecosystem then you’ll incur additional costs for them. Unless the DCE511B can recharge the battery while it’s plugged in. That would be awesome, however, I was not able to confirm that possibility from any of the sites I looked at. Amazon shows the prices below for the DeWalt battery and charger, but I would suggest shopping around to see if you can find better prices. I did also read in the Amazon comments that someone said they were able to use a Makita brand battery (may/may not be less expensive if you already use their ecosystem). If you choose to use a different battery brand, make sure you measure the height/width you have on the fan to ensure the battery will fit.

Keep in mind some brands are insistent that you use their battery brand when it comes to filing warranty claims. I’m not sure if DeWalt is one of them, but if they are, using a non-brand battery might void your warranty.

DeWalt 20V 5Ah Max battery - $74. The fan does, however, allow you to use lower voltage batteries, which will be cheaper, but it will also decrease how long you can run the fan.

DeWalt 12V/20V Max battery charger - $30’ish.

DeWalt 20V Max battery and 12V/20V Max charger combo - $87.

This maybe the most helpful response from anyone on any sight. Wow. You gave me everything I need to know. I’m pretty DeWalt committed, based on several power tools and batteries. I love the idea of being able to have a hybrid and use it regularly plugged in, but use batteries where there is no power— or during a power failure.
