I’m sure this is a great unit for trimming around your lawn. The reason I didn’t buy it (I use the Dewalt battery system for most of my cordless tools), is that you need to buy an attachment if you want to edge your lawn. The Black and Decker is less expensive and combines both functions. It’s a much better design in my opinion and I’ll live with the non-conforming battery, though you can buy an adaptor if you’re desperate. Also, Dewalt and B&D are owned by the same company and likely made in the same factory.
It’s actually supposedly quite bad. Many of the reviews on Amazon for it actually say the thing died in the first 3 uses. Like 3+ people said that out of 60 written reviews
But even the home depot reviews are bad. The whole first page is filled with negative reviews, from the motor burning out, to overheating, to the feed head not working well. Pass.
I have 2 of these and they work VERY WELL, I would definitely suggest them.
