Do you talk politics with your family?
No.
I try. But some have been brainwashed to believe that we can’t have a difference of opinion and still get along so
But seriously? You ask a POLITICAL question and expect people to NOT talk politics?
Only with my parents and siblings, otherwise it opens the door to super crazy people on both sides of the spectrum
At least you may or may not have 15 pounds of cat food to distract yourself with.
Sure, the stuff we agree on. We try to be civil about the stuff we don’t.
Given the choice between politics, football, and dieting, I’ll choose politics every time.
Only for deprogramming them.
EVERYONE OUT THERE IN INTERNET LAND:
Please be kind and respectful on this thread. I don’t see anything bad yet so I wanted to hopefully stop it before it starts.
I know, I’m naive. Woot did ask a politics-oriented question but maybe stick to the question itself and not the particulars of your political points of view? Thanks.
(Please note: I don’t work for Woot, I just volunteer to help out here on the forums.)
My relatives do not agree with my views and always try to persuade me over to their camp anyways. I refuse to engage in their outrages ideas!! (Please don’t tell them I said this!)
Mostly during the election year I guess
Luckily they watch from afar. Otherwise we’d have issues.
Yes
If we cannot talk about politics and religion, we don’t have real politics or religion. The rule of none of that talk at the family dinner table is why the whole nation cannot talk about it without devolving into toddlers.
I am all for a table or front porch with coffee or your beverage and attempting to figure out the world’s problems. Think big picture and act local or loco.
