Dreamiracle 2.2L Ice Maker Machine

Dreamiracle 2.2L Ice Maker Machine

I have another ice maker from this company, and I’d say avoid anything they make like the plague. They ignore their email, they cut off the help line phone number, and are their devices have a high failure rate. In fact, tomorrow I’m ripping part mine to see if I can make it actually produce ice. The little trick of holding settings doesn’t work for this brand, so you can’t even fool it into making ice.

Not sure what morons decided to have a machine over-rule humans when it comes to the ice being full. It just keeps scooping the air and saying it’s full.

Beyond the leaks and stuff these brand has often, ‘Ice full’ is something you’ll come to know. It can sit, powered off, for a week and still think the ice is full, or sit On and think ice never unfills. This is a lot of money to invest in something that doesn’t work most of the time, has zero support, and high failure rate.

Not recommending this one, but just ice makers in general, if you like icy drinks, want more space in your freezer, or entertain frequently, or have a lot of thirsty kids, I highly recommend a countertop ice machine. We got one for my mom last week and the thing is fascinating. She couldn’t believe how fast it was making ice. It is pretty cool to watch actually. It was self-cleaning too. I can’t remember what kind it was. I was thinking Igloo but I googled that and the one we bought looked different so just not sure.

I Googled your problem and found this video showing your problem with a way to make ice but won’t detect an actual condition of bin full.

It would be great if that worked. Sadly, it does not (that’s what I mentioned about holding the setting button not working). This brand doesn’t work with that trigger, it just changes from ‘big/small/cleaning’ over and over. We’ve dealt with this for a while, the only option we have left is what we are trying next: tear it open and cut the cables that lead to the sensors.

After, if it doesn’t work, I am literally throwing out almost $200.

Im sure there’s a magnet that either fell off or it got stuck where it triggers a full bin. I work in the field service industry and most of the time when sensors fail they usually fail at detection while your’s seem to be a constant.

I purchased the Dreamiracle 2.8L unit in a previous sale in December 2021. We use it all the time and it has been bulletproof so far. I’ve had no need to contact company for support or help so can’t comment on that.

The red mark circles are the sensors telling this machine the ice is full. Perhaps they got a bad batch or forgot to connect them.

Yes, those are the sensors. It worked sometimes then fails and gets stuck in do-loops.
If you look at the comments on Amazon for them, almost all the 1 star reviews are for this and ‘leaks’, so a huge chunk of their normal productions appears to be a bad batch. And as I said, they have zero support. So it’s really up to the various people who much money they want to throw away on a device without any returns or support and has a significant production failure rate.

I had problems with my machine, kept stopping and the add water light would come on. I emailed support and they worked with me trying to get it going again. After several attempts they sent me a replacement at no charge. This one is working great so far.
