anyone know if you can use the Bosch 12V batteries with this? I know they are owned by the same parent Co. and the battery does look like a Bosch 12V.

The Dremel 12V Max batteries B815 & B816 are the only batteries qualified by Dremel to use with the 12V 8240 / 8250 / 8260 tools. They are compatible with the Bosch BAT414, BAT415 & GBA12V30 batteries as indicated on the battery/charger compatibility chart included with the tools, but these tools are not part of the Bosch professional system.
