Duracell Rechargeable AA & AAA Batteries with Charger

Duracell Rechargeable AA & AAA Batteries with Charger

Hmm. They make their rechargeable batteries look very similar to their alkaline batteries (that I buy in bulk at Costco).

nothing to go wrong there, eh?

I’d recommend against ‘Quick’ chargers anyway, with things like this, “RECHARGE YOUR BATTERIES IN 4 TO 8 HOURS with 4000 mW of charging power”. It’s terrible for batteries when they get warm or even worse, hot. It degrades the battery considerably (fewer recharge cycles), plus they don’t last as long either (quick in, quick out).

I also don’t see anything about them being LSD batteries either (Low Self Discharge).

I’d recommend getting Panasonic Eneloop batteries. They are LSD batteries (they’ll hold a charge for over 10 years on the shelf), so they’ll be ready when you need them. Also, they have 2,100 recharge cycles vs these at 400 cycles.

I really like my La Crosse BC-700, but unfortunately, it has been discontinued. But, I liked that the default charge rate is at around 200 mA (~280 mW vs 4000 mW). You could probably just go with the Panasonic K-KJ17MCA4BA, which can individually charge each battery, instead of groups of two, like this charger.

Yall making me regret getting this with the $20 coupon from the event today  but I don’t think I’d get my coupon back if I were to cancel the order

Good thing I read this before clicking buy

Watch the video by Project Farm on Youtube. He tested many brands, including Enloop, Amazon Basics, Duracell, etc. He tested them over a period of 1 year over some outdoor solar post lights. He showed after a year, the Duracell came out on top. Beat every other brand on the market including Eneloop. However, Enloop can be charged twice as many times, but if you need raw power and a battery that doesnt lose it charge after being used daily for a year, then Duracell is king.

They’ll be fine. I like Eveready’s multi charger but some of the slots die out after couple years.

Just don’t leave batteries in the charger. Charge em up and keep them in a dry battery case until needed.

I’ve used Eneloops and Amazon Basics, a LOT, and even degraded they’re fine in light pucks, milk frothers, remotes, led candles.

I bought this the last time it came up for a few dollars more. Batteries have been holding up well, but I just shelved the charger. I already had a 16 battery charger that monitors and trickle charges my rechargeables.

I love my eneloops. Wish there was a deal on them. Or at least some AAA batteries.

C’mon woot I need the batteries for the salt shaker sets. At least woot off should have AAA batteries. Lots of AA’s in the previous week.

You can actually get better quality Eneloops AA 4 pack, currently for $14.90, on the mothership, which are considerably better than this (in my opinion). Mainly that they can be recharged 2,100 times vs these at 400. So, the price isn’t too far off from these.

And as I said earlier, this charger is pretty bad and does more harm than help the batteries (as do many “quick” chargers). Plus, this one needs to charge two batteries at once (it doesn’t charge them individually).

If you need both a charger and batteries, you can get the Panasonic K-KJ17MCA4BA at currently $28.99. Sure, it’s a little more now, but batteries should last 5.25x longer (as in recharge cycles). A little more up front, but way cheaper in the long run.
