While I couldn’t find this product number on the mothership, I see that this is basically half what the list price is for similar.
Stop the suck people!
we’ve had one of these running in our backyard since the last sale…it seems to mostly catch moths, but I also haven’t wanted to open the bottom to empty it out since there’s a mix of dead and live winged things in there at all times, so it’s doing SOMETHING
I have the Dyna Trap (1 acre). It really works! We have our camper at a permanent campground. The campground is near a corn field, so the bugs are a lottle overwhelming (which are insane during harvest time). However, we don’t have problems with bugs because of the Dynatrap! Our camping neighbors benefit from it too and they noticed a difference once we started using it.
I believe this could be a new model. When we bought ours (2 years ago), there were no color options. It was only offered in gray.
Did some research when these were up a few months ago… Bug Zapper myths
Agreed, however, I think the main difference is that the “DynaTrap produces carbon dioxide which is the same gas exhaled by humans during respiration and is the primary source of attraction for mosquitos”
And it’s a low-level UV light without the “zap” portion to kill the bugs.
It SHOULD be more selective in what bugs it’s trapping and killing.
Great article. I was going to post it if nobody else did. Of course, I read it a couple weeks after I bought my zapper. I hate wham that happens!!!
What sucks about traps like these is that they kill the bugs that birds and spider need to eat to live.
