It doesn’t say refurb in the title, but it is halfway down in the description. Not that woot would ever make a type-o, but this is a refurb unit, right?

We bought the Dyson DC25 just over 7 years ago, refurbished from Woot and have had no problems with it. It looks very simular to this model.

I bought an Animal extra from the mothership over 10 years ago, reconditioned. I had zero problems with it and I was very diligent about cleaning the filter that I knew about. They have TWO filters. Needless to say, the vacuum died and the shop told me about the second filter. I’ve got 2 other brands now but I do miss my Dyson. The company is great with customer service too, even if your machine is out of warranty.

Great price! Best vac I ever owned & still use it weekly. I have the bigger animal version but it’s been great.

Many years ago I purchased a Dyson DC14 refurb from Woot. It was the model with all wheels and not a “ball” style. I loved it and actually it’s still going strong over at my sister’s house. I replaced it with another Dyson refurb from Woot - this time a DC40. It looks very similar to the model being sold here today.

Hate it.

Specifically, I cannot tolerate the “kickstand” design - frankly it is poorly implemented. The mechanism is unnecessarily complex (I don’t even believe it was needed), it is fragile, and is wobbly. It has difficulty locking in the “down” position if everything is not perfectly aligned and the cord keeps getting tangled in the wheels. When rolling it from room to room the wheels flip up too easily when you run over the least bump or threshold in a doorway, forcing me to carry it. Honestly, it was a solution looking for a non-existent problem. The kickstand on these vacuum cleaners is a prime example of the old saying: “Simple problems don’t need complex answers.”

On the positive side, the Dysons do the very best job of separating the dirt it sucks up from the air it discharges without relying as heavily on the filters as any other brand of vacuum I’ve ever owned. Where other vacuums (such as the Sharks I also own) look as if the filters need to be cleaned after every use, the filters on the Dysons I’ve had truly do last a full month between cleaning. They got that part right.

I miss my old DC14, but my sister won’t give it up…
