Dysons are very good vacuums. They clean very well while the battery is working.
I wish these vacuums come with extra batteries, because you have a few choices after the battery dies:

  1. Get one from Dyson and pay almost $100.
  2. Get an aftermarket one from Amazon, pay half the price and it will last half the time.

What puzzles me is that after the original Dyson battery died. I opened it up and remove the individual rechargeable batteries. I recharged them and they work very well. They hold charge just like new and I use them all the time in my flashlights. Which make me conclude that somehow the miniature board inside the Dyson battery stopped working. But shows no sign of burning or damage.
Well…at least…I was able to recover and re-use all the Lithium18650 3.7V rechargeable batteries.

Long running issue with dyson batteries. Pretty sure they lead to the majority of the refurbs found.

As for the price, the animal is $10 cheaper than Walmart has been listing their V11 animal refurbs at which is nice to see!

The voltage is 220? Or not

After you recharged the 18650s, did you try putting them back in the battery pack to see if it worked, or did you destroy it in the process of removing the individual cells? Maybe, it’s like a counter on an inkjet cartridge, after a certain number of full recharges, it stops working?

Any warranty on this deal? Thanks!

Just to state my experience buying a refurbished Dyson vacuum… it was great, until it broke 13 months after purchase. The warrantee on refurbished was 1 year. I only used it 12 times, and it’s dead. I will never buy a refurbished Dyson. Never ever again. Pay full price. It’s $100 more, but it gets you a 3 year warrantee, of it lasts 3 years it should last 10.

Hi there. We list the warranty at the bottom of the features.

Warranty: 180 Day Dyson

Don’t buy refurb Dyson. I did and it was a mistake. Will be returning it. It arrived damaged and you can tell whoever packaged it didn’t care much. Seems cheap and undependable.

Hi there. Please reach out to Dyson and they’ll likely replace the brush. I’ve heard good things about their CS.

I bought a refurb corded Dyson something like 10 years ago and it’s still running great. Not sure I’d buy a cordless refurb though, because I’d be concerned about the condition of the batteries.

I bought a Dyson V6 Animal from Woot 6 years ago, and we still use it daily. I have replaced the battery twice over that time at a local Dyson repair facility.

Ditto, until a family member killed it. And the customer service is great too. I had one minor item missing from my refurb and they sent it out right away.

Seems to work well, BIG surprise NO LIGHT IN the VACUUM HEAD?? No light? I love the light on my vacuums, cant believe this late model V11 Animal has no light as your vacuuming?

Exactly the same situation here. 14 months later and completely dead.
