I went to see Lynyrd Skynyrd last night. They were loud. They were loud all the way back at the beer tent. There were people sitting behind the port a potties they were so loud. Loudest concert I’ve been to.
There earplugs helped a lot. Not with the sternum vibration but definitely with my ears. I use them at a lot of concerts and highly recommend them.
I just ordered another pair because I can’t find the spare rubber parts and don’t think I fit them right the first time.
I have these. They work pretty well wearing for several hours, which I need. It’s like wearing super light ear buds.
Sounds smart to go with the earplug - in case of need. Would be interesting to know the decibels being cranked out. Prolonged exposure above 130 dB could be considered an unreasonable degree of public safety harm. Not sure anyone cares but if you or your kids have destroyed hair cells in your ears, it’s a big debility.
WHAT?
Acoustic Trauma
Acoustic trauma refers to damage that occurs to the ear or auditory system from sound waves that are very loud. In many cases the individual recalls a single incident that, in all likelihood, caused their hearing loss.
My dad and brothers would have said this instead of howling when I practiced the piano.
Intro Tuba lessons for a week. No more howling.
I’ll vouch for these 100%. Great for musicians - they do a good job of reducing the noise level a lot without changing the sound profile too much. I’ve had a pair of the “high fidelity” model for at least a few years and use them every week or two. Reasonably comfortable as well.
I have these and like them. Good for concerts, they let you know if a band is good and loud or just loud. Would be better if the lid was connected to container.
