having owned a couple of pairs of ecco hiking shoes, and a pair of boots (and having tried-on their sneakers in the store) - I can say without a doubt they are some of the most comfortable and lightweight pieces of equipment i have ever used.
The ecco hiking boots are kind of a hybrid between a trail sneaker and leather boot - but they are BIOM - and work wonderfully in dry & wet conditions for hiking and snowshoeing. So i expect their golf shoes are also wonderful, breathable, comfy and probably water-repellent.
If I didnt already have multiple golf spikes, I would get these.
I own a pair of these, they are by far the most comfortable shoes (not just golf shoes) I own. They run large - I wear 9 to 9.5 in almost all shoes but an 8-8.5 in these. They are also a bit labor intensive. The uppers (Yak leather) will stain very quickly unless you apply a quality protectant (I use mink oil) before you wear them, and clean post-round with saddle soap. The spikeless design is great for most of the season, other than very wet conditions, when they may slip. I bought them at retail ($189) and they were worth it then, so I just might pull the trigger on a different color pair.
