Would you please recommend better sharpening tools for my small collection of about 35 medium quality pocket knives, Swiss Army, Leatherman and utility and sporting knives as well add an assortment of kitchen cutlery. I am mostly ignorant of proper sharpening tools & techniques. Thanks.

I grew up with whetstones but no longer have the knowledge in my head… fell by the wayside I guess; not hard to relearn using youtube. I have a similar product (EdgeSelect 120) and it is fine for crappy knives but my guess is a proper whetstone would be a sharper and/or a better blade

This in my opinion would ruin your nice knives

I have decent, but not super top of the line knives.

I think this thing is amazing. Gets my knives razor sharp if I want them, and can give those knives I want a bit of an toothy edge.

And if it shortens the life of my knives a bit, IDGAF, none cost me more than $125.

And, I have used this for a year with my knives with no noticeable deterioration.

Better to have sharp knives for 10 years the unsharp knives for 15.
