Received a Cuckoo (British Internet Service Provider) branded/owned Eero Pro 6E Wi-Fi router in the US. Was not aware of this until after updating the router. Utilizing it as a mesh router to hook to an Eero Pro 7 Wi-Fi router. Hijacked the app/cloud with Cuckoo branding once connected. Not sure how problematic this will end up being but right now everything appears okay. ![]()
The router I received was also ISP not sure what company yet, but I went ahead and did a replacement. Not sure what to do if it happens again.
Same issue here too. I purchased 2 eero 6E routers and both were locked to Cuckoo. I removed the router and 2 days later cleared cache on the eero app (Android) and the Cuckoo ISP name was removed from my local network. I was told no more were available and I will be getting refunded so a bit surprised to now see these for sale so quickly.
If the replacement device has an ISP on it I feel like Woot needs to remove these devices from their website and find a more reputable supplier.
Well, it’s an Amazon eero device that’s factory reconditioned by them or someone they designate so…
I did send to our team so they can look into it.
