I have this projector, it won out as best in The Hook Up’s budget projector showdown (https://youtu.be/vHmy8sobWEc?t=17m53s) I’ve also had the Alvar which came in 2nd. The Alvar is nice and bright, and fairly sharp. The Elephas is about about as bright, and sharp, calibrates nicely, and is more uniformly sharp when projected at the roughly 30° angle that I have mine hung from. I bought mine for 235, this is a great deal.
Is it true 4k though?

Like most Amazon projectors, they say “4k capable.” Native is 1080 but it will accept and downscale a 4K signal.
