There are a tremendous number of Chinese-made espresso makers. Like most other Chinese stuff, quality varies. A few have Italian pumps, others are 100% Chinese. I find a lot of these at Goodwill (unneeded wedding presents, etc.) and generally, they work OK, but not great. Be sure to get a decent tamper and the right kind of grind. To me, $80 is a “meh” price, unless it is made in Italy or Europe.
