Nope. Still just says that the order information was sent to FedEx on the 18th (anticipated ship) and that it will be delivered today, the 21st (estimated deliver). And FedEx says that the order has only been initiated.
On the email/letter issue, if I haven’t received it (yet) does that mean the Pet Purple is being sent to me in the west coast?

That would be a question for customer service. You can email them at service@woot.com.
And what is the best part of all this is that the email indicated we had till Monday to decide if we wanted the “yellow” one and I received my Woot Order Tracking Number Saturday. Guess I really didnt have till Monday the 23rd, 12:00pm central time. Hope it is the identical model; order conformation email was received at 1:58am eastern time.
When I replied to that email asking for a clarification, this is what I was told:
If this turns out not to be true, I’ll deal with it then, but Woot customer service has always been great in the past, so I went through with the order.
Sorry about all that. The model number of the vacuum (prior to refurbishment) is 8862AVZ. It is the exact same vacuum as the purple, but just in a different color.
I hope this clears up the confusion! As always, please email us at service@woot.com if you have any questions.

Confusion! Chaos! Color correction!

It does - and that’s exactly the one I would have ordered if it had been in the original sale. Not a big fan of purple appliances. Woot was holding out on me!

Well, Mine still says that it’s going to ship out on the 18th… It’s now the 24th. Wonder if they shipped it or not?

I have the same order as you, but I did not get the duster. Looks like there is no spot to put it into anyway.
All I got was a confirmation of my order-- nothing about it being a different color (I also ordered the purple. Realllly don’t want a yellow appliance but eh, whatevs). And I still haven’t received anything saying it has shipped, or has an estimated date. I’m getting a little frustrated, as my floor needed the vacuum when I ordered it, 8 days ago…
Anyone else not even get a letter saying Fed Ex is working on it?

Sorry about that. I’m sending you a PM regarding the shipment.
I got mine and it was the Purple Pet Plus that I ordered. Put it together last night. I’ll be trying it out tonight. For a $50 refurb, I think I got me a great woot!
Thanks for helping out on the shipping issues, Thunder Thighs!
Got mine yesterday. At first glance it seemed to be in really good shape–looks like it was maybe used once and returned. However, once I had attached the handle and went to lower it to get a feel for how heavy it is to push/pull, I noticed a huge gap between the bottom part (where the brushroller is) and the handle on the side where the latch is to release it so you can push it. Its big enough that I can see the mechanism for the release latch, and it doesn’t even touch the notched hub that allows it to ‘click’ into place when upright.
It was late so I just put it aside, but I’m disappointed. Now I am debating if I should try disassembling it to see if I can figure out the problem, or if I should just send it back. Grrrr. Maybe I will test out the suction on it to see if its an improvement over the current one before deciding.

Did you install the two screws that lock the handle in place?
Got mine today, it had some scuffing, and aesthetic wear, but it seems to be in good condition otherwise. Works way better than the two-decade-old hoover I’d been using, and picked up a huge amount of hair from the wall-to-wall carpet. For 50 bucks I couldn’t be happier
My vacuum was delivered today. I was one of those that had order the Pet Lovers Plus but then got the email saying that I would receive a regular Capture Plus in yellow instead.
At first I was kind of miffed, because the pictures and the description of the Capture Plus indicated it did not have a way to turn off the brushroll, which was something I really wanted.
I am pleased to report that the yellow Capture Plus I received is slightly different from the one in the photos, and it does have the ability to turn off the brushroll, as well as the “check brushroll” indicator!
In fact, not only does it have the features of the Pet Lover Plus that I thought I was not going to get, the sticker on the front of the dustbin clearly says “Pet Lover Plus,” even though it is a yellow vacuum instead of the purple Pet Lover Plus woot had pictured.
I have used it already, and I am super, super pleased with it. Easily the best vacuum I have owned. I have hard wood floors with various rugs, and the ability to turn off the brushroll and lower the vacuum all the way to the floor is superb. The suction in this mode is unreal. I’ll never have to use a broom again in my house again.
Thanks woot! It was a frustrating journey, but eventually I ended up with the exact vacuum that I wanted, just in a different color. I wonder if someone at woot perhaps opened one of the Pet Lover Plus boxes, saw that it was yellow instead of purple, and assumed it was a regular Capture Plus instead of a Pet Lover Plus, even though mine is clearly a yellow Pet Lover Plus.
Interested to hear if anyone else in my situation got a yellow Pet Lover Plus!
Just did some searching. The purple Pet Lover Plus is model number 8863AVZ. The yellow Pet Lover Plus that I received is model number 8862AVZ and has all of the same features as the purple Pet Lover Plus minus the height adjustable handle.
Which is just fine with me since I’m 5’6", probably the exact height they make vacuum cleaners for. It also weighs nearly 7 pounds less because of the lack of this one feature. Not sure how the height adjustable handle mechanism works, but apparently it’s pretty heavy. Here’s the comparison of the two:
Got mine and it is a yellow pet lover plus (with the brushroll switch). Only tested it out a few times, but looks new and so far it’s working great! Much better than my old not so hot vacuum and the yellow is actually pretty cool.
I bought and received the purple Pet Lovers Plus. It looks to be in great shape and works well. The only thing is at 24.3 pounds it is kind of a beast and my wife is apprehensive at using it. Had I known that, I might have bought another model. I believe the height adjustment that is listed in the comparison tables is for the roller for the height of the carpeting vs. bare floors, etc. But it looks like the the yellow, lighter one, model 8862, has a height adjustment knob also. I can’t tell why the yellow model is over 6 pounds lighter.
Is 24.3 pounds a lot for a vacuum cleaner with this feature set?

I believe you are right about the height adjustment. They both have it, so it looks like the comparison chart is simply wrong.
I don’t know where the extra weight comes from on the purple model. They have mostly the same specs and use mostly the same spare parts, except the yellow one lists a pre-motor filter as an available part while the purple one does not.
Also the purple one is available in Canada while the yellow one is not.
So if I had to guess, I’d say that perhaps the Canadian version of UL Labs has different requirements on vacuums than in the US, and Eureka had to put a heavier motor in the purple one to sell it in Canada. Given that the overall size and shape of the two vacuums is nearly identical, this is the only change that makes sense in regards to the extra weight. Might be a better motor, or maybe it just has a thicker housing.
Anyway that’s my guess. 24.3 lbs wouldn’t bother me. My old Eureka (the one I had before this woot) probably weighed that much.
Don’t know about the rest of you, but I STILL don’t have my vacuum and it isn’t due to arrive until May 12th. So my carpet will have been dirty for nearly a month. I never got an email saying it wasn’t the purple one, so I guess I’m still crossing my fingers for that. All in all though, I’m really hoping it’s as great as most of you say it is, because I’m so disappointed in the whole ordering process.
