Excalibur 5-Tray Electric Food Dehydrator, 3500B

Excalibur 5-Tray Electric Food Dehydrator, 3500B

Does anyone know if this is good for making fruit leather?

It’s back… Excalibur are the best dehydrators honestly. This this is a pretty hot item and this is pretty much the cheapest we’ve seen it anywhere. With that being said, for $40 more, you can get the 9 tray model on Woot pretty often and unlike this version, the 3926TW model has a 26 hour timer. The 3500B has no timer. I highly suggest a timer.

Also worth mentioning is this Best Seller on Amazon which is cheaper. https://www.amazon.com/Nesco-FD-75A-Snackmaster-Dehydrator-White/dp/B0090WOCN0/with 3900+ reviews and only 5% at 1 star,

And to add to the above… DO NOT mistake this device as a Freeze-Dryer. There is a BIG BIG difference in what it does and cost. A freeze dryer runs $2k to $3k for a decent home system but will retain 97% of the foods nutrients and flavors. If you are SERIOUS about having food around for years, invest in a freeze-dryer unit, food saver system and nice stack of mylar bags. If you are making something for consumption over a short period of time, you can’t beat one of these Dehydrator. Long term without the mess of canning (or worrying about food poisoning), go Freezedryer. Just my 2cents

Hey y’all, we’re dropping this price down to $99.99. If you bought it at the previous price, you’ll be getting a refund for the difference very shortly!

In for 1!

My wife was just talking about buying a food dehydrator yesterday when she was making apple chips in the oven… We looked on Amazon, and I said “Lets sleep on it”.

Wake up this morning and BAM! Woot spied on me, posted this item, and got our family to buy this. Thanks Woot!
