It says it’s upholstered with bonded leather and then says it’s built to last. These are two mutually exclusive statements. Bonded leather literally falls apart before long. I know this from experience. I’m sitting in a chair that was once upholstered with bonded leather. The bonded leather is mostly gone. It began to flake off shortly after the warranty expired, and what little remains still leaves flakes around the chair like leaves from a tree. This is the second piece of furniture I have owned that did this. In both cases, the manufacturer said in its product description that it was upholstered in leather. I had to read the fine print on the label that it was bonded leather – after it had begun flaking. Never again will I buy anything upholstered in leather without knowing in advance what kind of leather, and if it’s bonded leather, I’ll pass.
I agree. Mesh or fabric for me. It lasts way longer than cheap leather.
