Feature request - Searching "Stuff You Bought"

While the idea of a search function is anathema to the Woot powers that be, I’d really appreciate adding a search function to the “Stuff You Bought” area. I have 244 purchases orders in my history covering 25 pages worth of stuff and it can be a challenge to revisit “when did I buy that?” or “what was that model number again?”

I’ve found it easier to search thru the email confirmations if I’m looking for something specific.

Since my order history is 117 pages … I’m leaning towards NOT adding a search. It’ll make it too easy to see how much I’ve invested wasted on catshirts.

Well, only if you search for “catshirts.” :smiley_cat:

Yeah, it’s been a longtime request. Right up there with a site search.

Don’t hold your breath but maybe some day.

Understood. I know that site search seems to be a touchy proposition for Woot, but I’m thinking that this would be much more innocuous.

Back when we sold wine, those customer begged for it because they had hundreds of purchases of wine to sift through. :frowning:

And there isn’t a way to export your purchases history to search a spreadsheet either.

I’m a bit like Narf, I don’t really want to know.

But it would be a nice feature.

Actually since most shirt titles don’t specifically say “catshirts”, I might be in the clear! Well, so long as it’s not using the search engine from the mothership.

Oh wow! Probably why they closed wine.woot! (Not really)

I guess my thought is that if a bunch of people like this post, it’ll be an informal poll for the woot programmers. But maybe I’m just dreaming.

I’m sure it’ll get you on a list…er, your idea.

Just did that this week and had to search forwards then backwards because Woot removed the pic.
Did find it, tho.

You got a haircut?

So, is the thinking that it’s difficult to actually program or is it more of a “we don’t want to offer that” mindset?

It’s priorities vs the amount of backlogged projects vs number of developers

But the mothership has tons of developers!

They don’t work for Woot.

You know how you’re searching something on the mothership and like most of the results are completely unrelated items? Yeah, I’d rather they NOT touch this site.

Besides, that feature exists already anyway.
