Fossil is a fashion brand, but their wristwatches are above average fashion watches. This watch is a chronograph, a sport wristwatch which is also a stopwatch. They were used by race drivers and by pilots who did their own navigation, and they’re pretty much old tech but still have their uses. Mechanical chronograph movements are extremely expensive and so are the watches e.g. the Paul Newman Rolex Daytona. Quartz chronograph movements are extremely cheap. Cheap chronograph watches are a Seiko specialty, but it looks like this watch has a Miyota (Citizen) movement. It is a discontinued Fossil watch and for 20% off clearance price IMO the price is right if you like the way it looks. There are a few design defects. It has a mineral glass crystal. Mineral glass is more shock resistant than sapphire but it scratches easily. Its steel case and bracelet are black plated. Any steel scratches, but scratches on black plating really show. On the positive side, it has standard lugs for a 22mm strap. So you could easily replace the bracelet. 50 meter water resistance is appropriate for a good quality dress watch. You cannot wear this watch in any activity where you might go into water e.g. rowing, canoeing etc.
