My question is: Who decided these were “collectible”?
Very boring toys is what they really are. Like a 3D trading card that takes up way more space and not easily portable to bring your collection with you.
Everyone that decided to collect them. Duh.
But…it seems like they were created specifically to be a collectible item for the purpose of collecting… What clairvoyance the folks behind Funko must have, eh?
I guess I think true collectibles have some other function or appeal that makes them desirable which then makes them popular and therefore collectible. These seem to only be popular because they are collectible…but why are they collectible?!
Collecting things is in our blood.
