For $400+ you’d think that these would get a better package than a paper bag.

Oh how nice. CS wants me to find a box and return it. Maybe if it was shipped in a box in the first place I wouldn’t have to. It’s not like I actually wanted RAM or anything.

Put it back in the envelope it arrived in.
It’s a thin paper bag. The kind that is sealed on both ends, not the kind that has adhesive.
Do what I did when I had to send something to my ex when I was still pissed off after our divorce. I mailed stuff in a tampax box. It’s cardboard. It worked. He made sure to mention it.
It’s an item worth over $400. If it doesn’t make it back intact am I still going to get my refund?
Good reason to keep those resealable Amazon polybags on hand. ![]()

Pack it with some cardboard (that’s what I did). Should be fine.
If it was packaged properly in the first place this wouldn’t be an issue. Try and keep up.

So we are back to where I started. I need to package the item better than it was shipped to me in order to return it.
If I could control how Amazon ships stuff, I would.
Here’s something that you might be able to control:
Why wasn’t I offered a replacement? All I was given as on option was the return.
No remaining inventory. And Amazon won’t change the way they ship it so you could have a repeat of the same issue. But mostly, no remaining inventory.
If there was no inventory then why was I asked to provide pictures so that they could “go over further resolutions”? What were the options then, $15 refund to keep it? But now there is no replacement, sucks to be you, thanks for the interest free loan, ship it back and we’ll refund you eventually. I hate paying these prices for RAM but the price was better than it is now. Crazy, I know, for wanting what I paid for to come in undamaged condition.

Personally, I do not want a loyal customer like you to go through this issue.
We will surely help you with the best resolution once after we have the photos, please do not worry.
If you could please provide us with photos of the damage/defects to the item and once we have that we can go over further resolutions with you.
