Thank God for this. I’ve spilled more gas with the new Regulation spouts than I have ever done with these old school ones.
The thing to watch out for with these is that there are so many slight variations on the threads of the cans. I have one of these that “almost” fits and seems to completely, but when I invert the can to fill something the gasoline seeps out around the cap and drips.
Ugh… Those eco nozzles. They drive me nuts. It’s not helping the environment if you spill! The Canadians tend to be more environmentally conscious as a whole and even they don’t have the overly complex nozzles. Next time we go north, I have to remember to go to Canadian Tire and buy some gas cans.
What I have been doing for a few years now is using a bulb driven siphon typically used for kerosene heaters.
There’s always the Vevor Jerry Can that seems to perpetually remain sale priced. They’re a copy of the old US military gas cans and are supposed to be air tight. They sell via their site or Amazon. I actually seem to remember Woot having them on recently.
The VP Racing jugs are popular, too.
