GE Opal Nugget Ice Makers- Refurb - Your Choice

Your specs make no sense. Why would the sidetank icemaker with much larger dimensions weigh 20 lbs less?

Is that an important feature that you will use to determine whether or not you’ll buy it?

I’m sure it’s just a typo from the clicky-clackers.

That would definitely be a factor if i was choosing one. Im using mine for camping, a bigger one thats lighter would be great.

Avoid like the plague. The worst appliance I’ve ever owned and the ge process to return was a nightmare. The new one also never worked right either. Junk.

I agree 100 percent! Paid almost 500.00 for this from Amazon and boy was I disappointed!!! It looks great and makes great ice but, it made weird, loud noises, it’s soooooo heavy. About the same weight as a mini fridge. The side tank didn’t work well, is not attached just sits next to it. Literally a side tank lol. Returning was a nightmare. Stay away from this ice maker!

Did anyone else who recently ordered one have theirs come in looking like a blind, one-fingered caveman had “refurbished” it? Mine was dented up and has (I think) black mold in the water line. I understand some scratches here and there on a refurb maybe, but this is unreal. It looked like possibly it had fallen out of the shipping box because it was in the box sideways when I opened it and not how it’s supposed to be. That or the caveman that refurbed it just took a hammer to it. Anyways, I emailed Woot, we’ll see what they say…

I sometimes buy pallets of store returns for resale. We got one of these on one last week and yep… it looked just like that. It was busted so bad that one of the tanks inside is cracked. And trying to get parts from GE (I was sent to Opal, whoever they are) and I still can’t get a reply!

You are buying an ice maker to use while camping!? DAMN! Camping ain’t what it is when I was a kid! :cowboy_hat_face:
