I got one of these the last time it was here (for $79 I believe) and it is by far the best app-based OBD scanner I’ve ever used. The software covers more car makes than I even knew existed and it doesn’t limit you to just two or three diagnostic tests or one car make before charging a subscription like all the other ones. You get full access to every make and every test without having to pay a subscription or additional fees. That alone makes it worth many times the initial purchase when compared to the other brands.
The ONLY issue I’ve had with this is that some aftermarket Bluetooth stereo head units will interfere with the connection, forcing your phone or tablet to disconnect from the scan tool while it’s running a scan. The only solution I’ve found is to have your phone or tablet “forget” or delete the connection to the stereo then reconnect after you’re finished using the diagnostic scanner. I never had this issue with factory Bluetooth stereos so far.
