This is hilarious!!! I have a pup with pretty severe separation anxiety–can’t even take a shower w/o him with me–and I’m pretty sure this’d do nothing for him. I mean, I’m 100% sure. Nice try tho!
I could see it working for some if you dressed it clothes you’ve worn that have your scent.
A new carpool buddy. That lady in the car next to us doesn’t move. She just sits there & stares straight ahead.
Anecdotal, but I have a friend whose dog would start crying the minute she left for work. Often the dog howled for hours and did destructive chewing behaviors, when she was gone.
She got a similar product, dressed it in her dirty clothes and left it where the dog liked to sit 24/7. Over the weekend, she interacted with the doll, like it was human in front of the dog. She would occasionally talk to the mannequin, pretended to feed her and even hugged her a few times.
The first time she went to work, on her cameras, she could see her dog cry at the door for a minute, it went to the mannequin within a few minutes and fell asleep with her head on its “leg.”
YMMV, but this fixed a long-standing problem for my friend.
I’m convinced that this on the sofa could reduce anxiety in the pet during the workday.

Same! Brodie would be suspicious and give it some alarmed woofs for a few minutes, possibly fight it briefly, and then ignore it. It doesn’t smell like a human or any other creature, so he wouldn’t be fooled.
I wonder who the poor soul is who had her face printed on it? The hype in the description is great. “It changed my life!”
She’s “infaltable.” I wonder if that’s close to but not quite infallible.
You could prop a CPR dummy up there with its soulless eyes and mouth agape.

Your carpool friend reminds me of the movie, “Lars and the Real Girl.” She has an interesting resting face. Kind of pouty.
Never saw that movie. I just googled carpool dummy & picked a couple lol. I remember seeing them in the news occasionally after they get pulled over by the police & thats the first thing that popped into my head. 
I could see this working for dogs with separation anxiety though as long as you put some well worn clothing on it for the smell.
It’s not for everyone, depending on your disposition. It’s about a really sweet, harmless guy who is lonely and somewhat mentally ill. He buys a very detailed, life size doll that is intended for recreational purposes but fully clothed. He takes the doll with him everywhere as a romantic companion, as in, he is in love with “her” in a very gentlemanly and respectful way. She sits at a table and shares tea with him, etc. His circle of people and even his small town think it’s weird and deviant at first, but once they realize that it’s merely a harmless romance they play along because it brings him so much happiness.
I never knew that was a thing! I’d heard of people using mannequins to use the HOV lane, though.

On one hand I think it’s a cool idea. On the other hand…Oh wait, she doesn’t have any. That right there you see is really the only problem I see…
How about giving this woman some arms or even hands or even just a measly, few phalanges .
