I bought these knives in leopard print during a previous sale. Currently trying to find the post where I talked about how sharp they were. cutting a techs finger…
Here we go!

Hey guys be very careful with these knives. Despite the fact that they come in cute animal prints They are still Very sharp.
I brought one of the earlier knives to a lunch BBQ at work and I handed it to a mechanic to cut some watermellon. He didn’t believe me when I told him it was sharp (zebra print can be deceiving I suppose) and sliced his finger open on the first swipe cleaning off the blade. The knife cut right through the detail rag and into his finger! The cut wasn’t too deep and he superglued it shut, but seriously be careful with these.

Oh thank goodness, finally! These will be so much more useful than the leopard print ones while on safari. It’s so much easier to take down the giraffes when you can sneak up on them with EVERYTHING camouflaged.
Just came back to post a picture with a **size reference ** since woot doesn’t have one. Thats your average size sponge and average size bottle of wine.
As you can see the cleaver and smaller knife are pretty small but I’ve been able to use all of them quite nicely actually. The big one is still my biggest mover though.
Also Goodluck taking at a giraffe with these knives. They’re strong but I don’t think they’re Giraffe Hunter strong.
Edit: oh yeah, The knives are pretty slippery if you get them wet. Nothing crazy but you just want to be more careful and be sure to keep your hands dry.
also embedded a link for the first cartoon that came up googling “giraffe hunter”

I’d be particularly careful if I was trying to use them while using a wet soapy sponge while drinking wine.
I bought one of these sets a few months back.
[url=]Kuhn Rikon 3-Piece Cutlery Set
Spiffy little set with nice sharp edges. Great price and just right for my cooking kit for camping trips.
I’ve been waiting for these. I have a different set of Kuhn Rikon knives from Woot and I really like them. And this is a really good price–take this from someone who spent the last week scouring amazon and TJ Maxx looking for a set under $20.
These are for a friend who just moved to her first apartment and has no decent knives. They’re ugly, but they’ll spend most of their life in a drawer. And maybe this is the start of her safari kitchen.
Woot!,
Yesterday it was baking prep tools in pink and purple colors and today it’s this. What’s with the kids’ colors and prints?! Can’t we have some adult colors such as black and stainless or red and stainless, etc?.. please
Well, I’ve saved money today!
I bought my first Kuhn Rikon in S.Cal while waiting for my mothers teeth to be fixed (we had just had a great lunch – but she got overly aggressive with the crab shell). I went in a deli and came across this crazy red/orange paring knife, with a great edge. Other knives have come and gone but still use that.
I then bought a 4 knife red polka dot set here several months ago…our go-to set even though we also have much more expensive Henkel knives.
I love the innovative and whimsical approach of Kuhn Rikon in addition to their quality and reasonable price; to me they are the IKEA of Cookware.
I have purchased many other products (their 4th burner pot is a must!).
Here is there web site – take a look at some of their other knives.
PS-Out here in the Boston area, I also occasionally see Kuhn Rikon at Marshalls and Home Goods at a good price as well.

Just going to say this is an insult to the knives since I’ve used Ikea knives and they’re a nightmare.
I actually bought the giraffe print last time they were on sale and was surprised how they really don’t look that bad in person. I use them for some of my easier daily chopping jobs, but still get out a nicer heavyweight knife when I’m doing something that requires a heavier/sharper knife such as big carrots, fine slicing, or raw sweet potatoes.
The most useful piece is the 6" chef’s knife since the cleaver is too small to really do anything. I guess I don’t really do a whole lot of kitchen work that requires the pairing knife since the only time I use it is de-stemming strawberries.
One comment I will agree with from last time is these are great to bring along to a pot-luck. Nobody’s going to steal it since they’re so distinct looking. Sheaths also make them safe to transport.
