Because Amazon reviews are highly suspect these days: i bought the Kraus version of this a while back, and it works great! It’s loads better than the silicone drying mats that sit beside the sink, which is what we had before. I’m really tempted to buy this one as a backup, but this one is bigger than our sink and would probably hang over too far and be annoying if left out.
I have some other Krauss kitchen equipment and everything they make is top-notch. This is a great drying rack and it’s great for hot pots or cookie sheets if you put it next to the stovetop. Flat stainless with protective corners really save your countertop.
I forgot to say that if this is too big for your sink, you can probably fold it partially sideways if the width is a problem. I do this when I am hand-washing something big in my sink. Then unfold to dry. If it sticks out too deeply over the counter depth (it shouldn’t). You’re out of luck. But I bought one for my daughter from Amazon a while back and it works in her rental. I didn’t measure but it should fit most standard sinks.
Our sink is a small standard size, but the hand spray nozzle thingy and our water filter take up extra room in the back. I bought the smaller version (workstation size) of the Kraus, and it fits perfectly. I definitely agree with the quality of Kraus. I like your other ideas for this one. Thanks for the suggestions! I’m always trying to figure out where to put hot cookie sheets and pizza pans when switching them out.
