I can’t comment on refurbished, but from my experience, the Pixel 8 Pro is a great phone. The Pixel 7 Pro failed me. I’ll keep the 8 Pro until it fails or becomes too obsolete. Takes really good pictures.
Looking for one, but reluctant to go with this deal. Is this the mmWave model or the non mmWave? Both are “unlocked.” The return policy is kind of vague. And how many cosmetic defects does “Grade A” consider? Not enough info.
Just a suggestion… Probably shouldn’t dangle your feet in the water. ![]()

Yeah was thinking about getting the new condition Pixel 7 Pro that Woot is selling right now. But after reading the comments, it seems there are some issues with that generation of Pixel phones. Hoping Woot sells new Pixel 8 Pro phones in the near future.
My Pixel 7 Pro was great except for freezing up at inopportune times. The power button wouldn’t even work. Eventually, it would restart on its own. Wouldn’t recommend it. I think the Pixel 6 I bought from Woot to take on vacation was refurbished and worked well, but that camera wasn’t nearly as good as on my 8 Pro, so I used the 8 Pro anyway. Best of luck if you decide to risk the refurb. I guess you could always fall back on the warranty.
Dangle my feet in the water? No! I paid good money to swim with the sharks! It’s a Virgin Voyages shore excursion at the Bimini Island stop. They were mostly reef sharks, so they mainly only eat what is dead or dying, though we warned not to hold our cameras out in front of us or take our flippers off until we got back in the boat. We were told it was strip club rules. They could touch us, but we weren’t allowed to touch them. Also if any of us got bit, it was okay, because there were some nurse sharks in the mix as well.
I love these photos. What an experience and good memories forever!
Thanks for sharing.

I have a 7 pro and no issues. Heavy media user using Visible for service. The negative is no video out using USB port. 8 and beyond yes. Really want to upgrade but doesn’t make $$$ sense for gaining the video as provider is good with hotspot data used.
But Google could technically unlock video out because the hardware can support it; Google are just idiots for software locking it… ![]()

Have you looked at something like scrcpy (SCReeen CoPY)?
I guess I will let you know about the mwave.
Wondering about buying a warranty on these.
What’s going on with the shipping in these? They aren’t expected for two weeks.
How long has yours been in shipping? Mine’s has been almost 5 days now
It said it shipped on the second. I was supposed to receive it yesterday, the 6th, but now it’s been delayed until Monday.
I do have the UPS redirect, so sometimes that causes a day delay, but that seemed to have kicked in and been the yesterday delivery day.
But when I initially posted this it said it wasn’t going to ship for over a week, possibly two. I can’t even remember now.
A bit disappointed with this one upon arrival. “Grade A refurbished” might be a bit of a stretch, as mine came in with the screen scratched up and covered in smudges. Considering returning it, but undecided as of this moment.
Just received mine after a nearly 2 week wait. I am also disappointed at the condition, scratches on screen and dirty overall. Not what I would expect from a “Grade A Refurbished” device.
I just got mine a couple of days ago. I guess I got lucky. Fast shipping and arrived with no scratches and only a few smudges. So far so good.
I also received mine. The phone was dirty with fine scratches in two areas and a small ding on the bezel.
After adding a screen protector, the scratches are not visible anymore.
