Thatās VERY true, certain apps are not supported after upgrades on Windows. There are options that can keep your system running on a new Windows version.
- Run an upgrade checker (free) from Microsoft to see which apps/peripherals may have problems after upgrade
- If needed, backup system and run the backup as a virtual machine (VM capability is native) in Win10+

MSās roadmap continues to be 10 year lifecycle from start to finish with OS/apps. The main exception, XP. Their upgrades to 10&11 being free is quite a difference from the past, but it doesnāt overcome compatibility issues with older apps like you have.

There was cheese melted on the chicken, but probably mozz.
