For the past eleven years, Iāve been going in monthly, sometimes two or three times a month for blood draws. My veins are so bad that I am now having draws from a vein that runs across the base of my thumb. I treasure this poor remaining āgoodā vein and no longer allow anyone who doesnāt know what they are doing to touch it. I will yell bloody murder until they find someone who does.
Yes, I know that some think, at worst, that Iām a b***h, but most just consider me to be a cranky old lady. I no longer care what they think, I just want a good draw. (I always compliment those who do a good draw, for I really appreciate them.)
We think no such thing! We love you and I aspire to be just like you as time goes by! After I passed 50, I no longer cared what anyone thinks. Why it took me 56 years to get my first tattoo, I dunno.
It is now the calm before the storm. Except for grocery stores. The worst of the storm is supposed to be Tuesday. We have a 8am heart doc appt that day. The gods better hope we make that appointment because disability runs out. Grrrrr.
I need to go grocery shopping, probably tomorrow. Our next storm is coming in on Monday. Iām hoping that I will think of a good enough excuse to give up eating and not have to go shopping.
Anyway, go out and do what you need to do. You can tell us if youāve survived your excursion.
