Haan Sanitizing Steam Mop

Video Review

I own this steam mop and it is amazing. There are just so many little things that make it awesome. Its very well made, though it does make a clicking sound when the steam is going. It does wonders on our tile floor.

That looks more like a commercial. Especially the cheesy background music.

how hard it is it to get replacement pads etc for this at a loacl shop? Can i run to the local department store and get it or do i need to order online?

also anyone own one of these how well do they work?

How durable is this? I’m wondering why a mop would be refurbished. Does the steam mechanism get clogged easily? Anyone experience any issues with this mop?

I own the mop. I like it a lot. It’s real light and simple. It comes with 5 microfiber pads that are machine washable and a few packets of lime/scale remover (or something to that effect). Since there’s 5 washable pads, I actually haven’t gone seaching yet, but I’d like to assume they’ll last a long time.

Okay guys, how is this one compared to the Shark?

haan.woot!

Looks like something that could come in very Haandy indeed if it performs well.

Since it’s mostly plastic, I think something may have broke from improper use or getting kicked around during shipping.

I have the shark version of the steam mop and really like it. It cleans well and in sanitizes the floor without chemicals. One feature I like about the shark is the pad wraps completely around the head, so you have two sides you can use for cleaning. This makes it easier to mop a larger area

You had me at cheesy background music. It is nice to see it in action but thats totally 80’s down to the sneakers. Amazing how calm the dog is around a smoking/steaming vacuum.

A heck of a lot hotter, actually. 212 degree steam here… I remember the shark being something like a warm bathwater 130ish degrees. (Which isn’t going to do much in the way of sanitizing)

Bought the refurb shark from Woot and it came broken…same with several others that posted about their experience. I don’t know if I can trust Woot on another refurbed mop.

I see what you did there…

Pass. It’s refurbished.
Read the reviews over on Amazon. Not good for grout, and some people get “broken” models that don’t even clean the dirt since their boiler mechanism isn’t working.
I own a different model of a haan steamer, I do love it, one of the better ones on the market. The replacement parts can be pricey, along with the pads. If you’re looking for something heavy duty, this is not what you want to go with. Maybe if you were using this for a small apartment or a small space it will work fine for lighter cleaning, but again, I’d avoid it if you have more than 10-20 minutes worth of steaming to do.
(I will comment that the inclusion of the carpet/upholstery cleaning attachment is nice since that’s usually another $30, but remember it doesn’t really clean per se, it “sanitizes”.)

Good reviews at Amazon from what I can see. Good price as well.

I had that issue as well and I would say that was a problem with Shark, not woot. Woot doesn’t crack open the boxes, they just ship them. I trust woot overall and all of us who had that issue got our money back. No harm, no foul.

Is this safe for use on wood floors?
