New, open box or refurb?
I bought one years ago. Although mine has an AC outlet. I use it mainly to jump the car when I need it. I have used it to start my little car and my big SUV with no problems. Now everyone in family owns one. It’s a great little tool to keep in the trunk. And useful to use in the house when the power goes out.
Love the halo bolt line. My mom got me one years ago and though after a few years it kicked the bucket the ones we bought right after that for various family members are still running strong. They do a great job starting cars and powering devices like cell phones. The 1st one I had may have only lasted only about 3 years but it was well used in that time. Put it this way when it died I promptly bought a new one and they were still super expensive at that time. $40 Is a great deal for one. This is not the newest model out though, their newest release is expensive but also inflates tires.
I am a huge fan of this product. I had paid about $140 for mine and at that price it was well worth it. Definitely taking advantage of this deal!
Cute marketing with the 44,000 mWh (milliWATT not Amp). So at 12V output this is 3666.7 mAh or 3.67Ah output. If they are claiming 12V@ 400A then thats 4800W output, which means 4,800,000mW or if the internal battery (ies) are 3.6V then you have 1,333,000 mA battery … sure, right, lets pull the wool over joe consumer, he doesnt’ know mAh from mWh …
I loath BS marketing. And yes I bought one so I can tear it down and put up a “whats really in it” post either at iFixit or here etc…
As long as it can start my car in a pinch, watt do I care?
Tear away, my friend
Got one for our European vacation to charge our phones on the go. Worked great until the end of vacation. It stopped charging and wouldn’t recharge past 2 lights. Woot was great and refunded. Worked great for us until the end.
I see watt you did there
Mah would be proud.
Unfortunately I had to return mine. It wouldn’t charge past 50%. Bummer,…
