This is for a trash can lid and storage pockets? Is the trash can separate?

Slightly different color but same brand and size for $4.99 on MS. 3 gallon is $4.90
Maybe this is better in some way idk.

Can’t figure out the plastic braces… Looks like they’re supposed to fit in the sides but they’re TOO LONG and buckle the trash can.
I finally gave in and cut them down by about 1/2" and they fit better but not great.
