Do not use them in a garage…they off-gas really, really bad. I ended up tossing them after months of really bad stink…
You might try sitting them outside to off-gas in open air and sunlight.
To offer an alternate perspective I have had a set for a whilr and I 
them. Did not have any issue with off-gassing. Serve their purpose (keeping me from running into an item in my garage) very well.
Don’t get fooled by the description
There is only two the picture states set of four!!!
Little expensive for two.
