HELP - MSI Raider i9 17.3" Laptop (Open Box)

purchased as Open Box from Woot this SEP2026, with 6-month MSI warranty. no laptop display when powering up, but was able to access computer and create a windows account by connecting to an EXTERNAL monitor. attempted to fix it by updating windows, no laptop display. i then updated intel Iris drivers, still no laptop display. finally updated NVIDIA drivers, still no laptop display. called the MSI hotline (which is where i was led to by clicking on the “6-month MSI warranty” link on the listing), i was advised to (1) first ask for a replacement, (2) then, send the unit in for RMA.
MSI has just emailed me stating the product is OUT OF WARRANTY (contrary to the Woot product listing), and i will have to shoulder costs of shipping and repairs. i have already sent out a couple of emails to Customer Service (cannot find a phone number).
how can i return this?
thanks in advance

Customer service got your email from last night. Need to give them time to answer… 24-48 hours.

i have received their reply. i initially emailed through a different account. should have read the details:

All email responses from Woot! Customer Service go to the email address on your Woot! account, not your Amazon Prime email if used/different.

thank you @ThunderThighs @Froodyfrog hope we can resolve this soon. Woot has NEVER let me down

for folks asking what the resolution was: i was not offered a replacement. no reason given but i am thinking because it is sold out. no reason given what became of the warranty the unit supposedly came with. i was asked to provide proof of the alleged defect. after confirmation, i was given an apology and a UPS return label courtesy of Woot.

Hello. Open box items have very limited inventory so likely there wasn’t a replacement to offer.
