I don’t even have kids, but I hope for the sake of anyone’s that they don’t put such a lock so high as to prevent a child from opening the door in case of a fire or other desperate emergency.

Want to protect a door from kick-in entry?
Replace the lock plate and hinge screws (often a cheap 1” contractor standard) with 3” screws. Go through the jamb into the frame. Much more secure.
