I really dislike when I wait up for the new woot! and it sucks, but it doesn’t suck as much or as well as a previous woot! that I already purchased. I recommend waiting until, and hoping that, they put a dyson up-these are okay, but if you really want your woot! purchase to suck the most, wait for the dyson.
I have owned this vacuum for a while, and I must say it works very well. Just make sure that you DO NOT WASH the filter, just clean it out/wipe it with a cloth or dustgrab rag every month or so.
I actually bought this hoover last year for $200. Had to take it back to the store two months ago for a malfunction. Suction was great while it worked.
i have one of these and they are great for not having to change a bag but man they suck when they get full. i get all kinds of dust and whatever i vacuumed up all over my hands and the cleaning process could take a little time if you want to fully clean it out. its nice to see how full it is getting so you know exactly when to dump it out, but it still seems like a vacuum with a bag is easier maintenance…
My wife refuses to own a bagless vac because she doesn’t want to see the spiders that get sucked up. Further questioning (you have to ask followup questions!) has yielded the belief that she’ll see they aren’t really dead and are trying to escape.
I have a very similar model (bagless WindTunnel)for about three years and we’ve been quite happy with it. Gotta replace the belt and filter every so often. Arm and Hammer brand filters can be had a Wal-Mart for less than the Hoover ones and they last just as long. Replace the filter when you feel it is not picking up as well as it should (notice, I didn’t say sucking).

Now you know why there are enough of these re-furbished vacuums to sell on Woot…
I am a die hard Hoover Fan, with the absolute exception of this vacuum. **
I can honestly say this vacuum doesn’t svck. Which for a vacuum is not a good thing, not a good thing at all. After about 3 months this thing wouldn’t pick up anything.
Changing the canister is gross, when you disengage the canister, all sorts of dust and other who-know-whats go flying everywhere making me want to vacuum all over again.
If I vacuumed for more than 30 minutes at a time (which was always with a three story house) the rubber belt would start smoking and make the most god awful smell.
And let’s just be honest, the only reason anyone actually buys these clear bagless uprights is too watch their filth accumulate. Don’t deny it, it’s gross and intriguing at the same time.
Do yourself a favor and don’t buy this.
**** If you have the money, splurge and pick up the $300 Hoover Platinum bagged upright, it comes with an aweosme handheld vacuum as well and it’s wonderful!(
