Now they dropped the price again?! Smh . I bought this pad on here for $30 and 2 hours after I bought it they dropped it to $25 and had to do a whole run around for a partial refund. When I got the pad it was 10X worse the then PS5 standard black hori octa without the right analog stick. The PS5 one was manageable especially with the Hori configuration software to download on the PC to make button mapping / sensitivity adjustments . This one on here though with the Tekken coat and the right analog … it’s only for PC , the buttons feel flimsier . The right analog stick really is a waste unless if you somehow want to play maybe a first person shooter to put yourself up for it . And the d pad dish is wayyyy worse even with the pc software it hardly did anything , and I almost broke my right trigger on the pad too. I wound up giving it to my neise and nephew to destroy . If you want a decent Xbox / pc fight pad that’s newer on the market get the 8bitdo m30 Xbox wired fight pad . It feels like a Saturn pad with a slightly bigger dish for the d pad side , face buttons have that Saturn face button sizing and feel. The back buttons are selectable mapping by a rear selection knob . Don’t don’t don’t don’t don’t get this hori octa tekken 8 LE pad , it’s such a let down.

The reason for this pad’s existence is the 3+3 layout that’s crucial for certain games. Like, for example, the MvC remaster collection that’s coming out soon and is likely to be one of the best-selling releases this year, if not this decade. If you aren’t specifically interested in these fighting games, then there are much better controller options out there for more conventional games. Also I agree with you that the d-pad is very bad on this one.
That said, I bought this because it’s an amazing value for what it does offer: the 3+3 layout and an 8-point analog stick, which I and many others prefer for fighting games anyway. There are few controllers that offer this feature set out there, and the few that do can’t be had at this steal of a price level. I only found a few:

This controller feels good when you’re not pressing anything … the pad is very hard for the thumb. My lt thumb was numb with pain after playing a gooooooood 2 hrs of a game on fightcade (imagine a fighting arcade app)
