This controller set includes the Hori-branded version of Joy-Cons, which function quite nicely, with an additional set of grip buttons. And it also includes the center attachment rail, which can be used to either hold Joy-Cons as a wired controller, and/or charge them, even during play.

I have these in a different colorway. They do not have any type of batteries inside. They will not function when removed from the console tablet. They work great in handheld mode. They don’t have nfc or rumble/gyros. The attachment piece is needed if you want to play in table top mode or docked mode.
