Is this a good buy?
If your needs are modest – emails, browsing the web, watching videos, typing documents, etc., it’ll be alright. If you want to do more like edit videos, photos and artwork, CAD, programming, or gaming – no, this will be a poor choice due to its processor, RAM, and storage.
(Note that I am not staff. I just volunteer to help out on the forums.)
1366 x 768 resolution on a 15.6" screen is going to be absolutely horrible!
And yet we all used it for many years without complaint.
The only time I used anything with a resolution so low was on a smaller screen. That resolution on a screen that large makes it so you can’t tell a period from a pixel while editing text.
Then I’m older than you because I sure did. 
Now, get off my lawn.
If you’re older than me, you didn’t save anything for retirement.
