The only major difference I see is that the one here on woot has the number pad and a slightly larger screen.
Which one will we be less disappointed in?

IMHO get this HP 115.6" Laptop add some ram… would be more than enough for what he is doing, without going broke. and supports Windows 11 to boot!
Myself, I am a systems engineer/consultant and myself because of my profession, I use ThinkPad high end, but I assure you, that one would fit his needs.
