Do you have any idea what you are talking about? You are getting a new EliteDesk computer with Windows 10 pro for a little bit over 300 dollars. There is nothing that is unusable about it. Outside of a slower boot time than most modern PCs most users aren’t going to notice that it’s not a greyhound. That can be corrected for 40 bucks with a new SSD. Find me another computer that gives you a 3 year next day on site warranty for cheaper. For a small business that does most of it’s work on the cloud and in an office suite or a family that is looking for a non gaming computer this is going to be more than adequate.
Looks like an average desktop, I don’t see any specifics for graphics aside from radeon r7, I think its onboard what series r7?), probably limited expansion ability since its a microtower, 250w Power supply, but most users don’t upgrade anyway. What is the max ram? Its probably good for an average user who is not gaming or doing anything like video editing. I wouldn’t call it elite by any means. but for 330 bucks its ok.
It would be nice if the ram was expandable. I find when they eventually slow down a ram upgrade can extend usability
Where does it say “new”? Iis NW condition the same as unused new, or some form odd reconditioned? Where did you see next day on- site service? Iis that the only device that HP offers? Not tho challenge you but I’ve been sucked into deals by fancy words made to make it appear other than it is.
Does this have a b-day for a second additional HDD/SDD? How many open slots - can WiFi be added? Is installed memory the max memory?

Would this be good for photo editing
Just looking up the Passmark score for that A10, it’s pretty abysmal by current-gen standards. Sure, it’s passable for your grandma but I wouldn’t deploy one. PM Score A-10 9700: 3,516
Comparable to an older ULV processor from a thin Intel laptop or 2nd gen i5

too many of these questions are easily answered by looking at the listing.
To be fair, we added the max memory later this morning. ![]()
It explicitly states that it’s a 3 year warranty like all other new condition EliteDesk models. As such I assume that it also includes the standard HP next business day onsite service. I could be wrong since it’s not explicitly stated but that is HP’s standard for EliteDesk models. Most people buying this are doing it for the model series and everything that comes with it (better build quality, better service, better warranty). That being said you’d be hard pressed to build a machine with new parts and legitimate Windows 10 pro for $330.
I see. I always want to know max RAM on any system I buy so I always appreciate this being listed in the specs. Thanks
Looks to be upgradeable. Processor, ram, PCI slots. Assuming bios allows. HP site will have compatibility lists available. Good price
This is going to be the limiting factor. Although this computer uses an AM4 socket with a B350 chipset, it appears that HP only has a qualified a few different CPUs. The Ryzen processor are of the PRO versions and even though they’re APUs, still require a discrete GPU.
Why would a Ryzen 5 2400G require a discrete GPU card? This chip has integrated graphics.
Well, I guess I’m looking at it from a PC builder enthusiast’s perspective. Is this PC good for me? na… Maybe for someone’s grandma it would be perfect. Its small, low powered, u can watch DVD’s, it comes with a mouse and keyboard. The CPU is powerful enough to surf whatever you want on the web. And with that amount of ram, you’re fine. Its nice that its a small form factor and that it has a USB 3.1 type C port.
But next day onsite warranty? I highly doubt that. They might come after you cuss them out after being stuck on the phone with a CSR for 8 hours. And it will probably take them a week to arrive, especially considering the delays caused by covid. More than likely they’re going to send the buyer a box with a shipping label to return it for suppot. Unless you have some special corporate lease, they’re going to offer their warranty services at their own discretion.
