Bought mine at Costco a little over a year ago. Works well with with all inputs (bluetooth, line in, mic) and with the tuner as well.
One tip for you if you do get one. Don’t forget to turn off the power. When the battery begins to die, it will have a thump sound from the speaker that sounds like someone trying to break into your home at 3 A.M. Took me a few minutes of exploring to figure out it was the speaker box.

Latency?

I’ve used small Bluetooth gizmos to broadcast musical instrument sound into an amplifier. Latency is noticeable, as in half a second or so. Does this improve on that so that it could really be used as a musical instrument amplifier for live performance?

We have a slightly different model (on wheels).

I was very impressed with the sound, but the construction on ours was abysmal. The input jack has a lot of static because it was made of plastic instead of metal - the casters also have fallen off several times. This doesn’t have wheels, so not as big of a deal.

Luckily most devices have bluetooth and that works well. Overall I’d say 3.5/5

That being said, I have a friend who has this (or maybe a similar) Ion speaker and it’s great outdoors during his pool parties.

Is it refurbished by Ion or a third-party?

Maybe I’m missing something, why would the “specs” NOT include the dimensions and weight?

Works well but you need to charge it often and also remember to turn it off

I’m in for one. My local Costco did indeed have these for $129, then later reduced to $119. However, I looked for them last week and did not see this model at any price. Online all I see is a newer model, the JobRocker, for $149.
