I have an iPad 11th gen (md4a4ll/a) and Apple’s doc says a 1st gen pencil works with this. Can you confirm ? I think I might need the USB-C to Apple pencil adaptor.
I think you’re under the impression that this particular pencil is an Apple product. It’s not. Just wanted to make you aware of that.
The Woot promo email for this product is clickbait:
“iPad Pencil 1st Generation”
This is not an Apple product. That title implies to the average person it is an Apple product.
Should have read:
“Zyerch 1st Generation Pencil for iPad.”
Critical thinking skills are needed here. It doesn’t say it’s an Apple Pencil.
“Plam rejection.” ![]()
I’ve bought one of these or similar, the promised tilt detection failed on an iPad Mini 6 and iPad Pro. I suggest getting Apple, Logitech, Zagg, or ESR for best experience. BUT … having a cheap, serviceable iPad pencil/stylus around isn’t bad if your needs and expectations aren’t high. E.g a quick scribble on a photo or screenshot. Know what’ll mean, Vern?
Yeah, I got that. Just wondering how this syncs to an iPad and if the 11th gen iPad is one of those (since a genuine 1st gen pencil will),
We try to state Apple at the first of titles for Apple branded items and add the model number to be clear.
Haha, this is Woot. Wasn’t referring to the title on the product page itself, but rather the Woot promo email title. And look at the product title at the top of this forum. Accuracy matters - as you rightly pointed out on my 1st vs 2nd gen AirTag comment. Why leave it to chance but for the lack of a single word? Either sloppiness or clickbait. (I would not have clicked thru if the brand name had been included.)
It wouldn’t have been difficult to have included the actual brand name of the pencil, particularly since an Apple brand name, “iPad” was in the promo title.
It’s there. You can’t buy without coming to the page with the long title.
The short titles have a character limit so sometimes something has to give.

They sync through Bluetooth. It’s a rechargeable pencil with a USB-C port, cord comes with it. I can’t compare it to any other iPad pencil, but my kiddo likes it for drawing.
“Clickbait” in the Woot promo email.
The emails automagically grab the short title from sales.
Promotion wouldn’t be promotional if it didn’t invite an interested click. Shopping 101.
